Cute nostalgic print, but landing zone makes it unwearable.

Bought a case of these when they were finally available and was so pleased with how the design came out. I love all things pampers wise and this was such an amazing nostalgic reboot of a design. However….
I couldn’t wear a single diaper out of the case. The landing zone was positioned so LOW on the front of the diaper that it made it impossible for me to wear comfortably and have any sort of containment assurance. Extremely disappointing, this was such an awful failure in execution for the large sizing. Everyone in mediums looks great, everyone in larges got the short end of the deal. AND YES I BOUGHT THE RIGHT SIZE FOR MY SHAPE/SIZE in case it comes up. Photos show wear landing zone starts in blue, and the red shows the gap in between where no landing zone is

Fantastic Nappies

I was excited to try these Sprogs as the design looked really great and well who doesn’t love to try out new nappies. I bought two packs in Medium for my baby girl and large for myself.
The fit was great and they feel really quite bulky and give you a distinct waddle. As for absorbent level, they are fantastic. We both had one on all day the first day neither had any leaks. I tend to wet quite a lot at night too and no issues the either.
From a crinkle perspective these are amazing. You can certainly hear when someone has these on🤭.
I know reviews are personal and everyone’s opinions are valid but some of the negative comments I see are really quite surprising.
These will go right to the top of my favorite nappy list now. Well done NRU team on a fantastic addition to the range 🙌

Landing Zone Far Too Low – Defective or Bad Design?

Based on my experience, the nappies I received were not fit for purpose.

The first one I used failed during normal wear, resulting in a significant leak that left the front of my trousers completely soaked. After changing, my partner and I found that the plastic backing had torn away around the upper tapes. The tapes were fitted normally and were nowhere near tight enough to cause the material to fail.

We then checked the rest of the pack and found that the landing zone appears to be positioned far too low. This makes it impossible to place the upper tapes where they naturally need to go while still using the landing zone correctly. The only practical way to fit the nappy is to fasten the upper tapes above the landing zone.

This creates two major issues. Firstly, fastening the tapes outside the landing zone places stress on the material, which in my case resulted in the backing tearing and a serious leak. Secondly, it makes adjustments and refastening extremely difficult. As someone with disabilities who often needs to make adjustments during application and throughout the day, reliable refastening is essential.

What makes this even more concerning is that the product photos show the upper tapes positioned even higher than where I would normally fasten them. On the nappies I received, fitting them that way would place the tapes well above the landing zone. This suggests either a manufacturing defect or a quality control issue, as the product shown in the photos does not appear to match the product I received.

I do not know whether this is an issue with a faulty batch or the product in general, but based on my experience I cannot recommend it.

low quality after extensive testing.

I regretfully wrote a review after trying the sprogs, giving them 5 stars. I was drunk on the fantastic print and high capacity.

(Firstly a small warning to potential buyers, the sizing on these is similar to ABU diapers which tends to run slightly smaller than other brands, consider sizing up if you don't buy ABU.)

Since then I've purchased a case and have used them all. This nappy has a few glaring quality issues that will stop me from buying again. There are simply other nappies in the same price range that offer the same benefits without the large drawbacks.

cons.
The landing zone. I'm not sure what's going on there but it's clearly a problem that many people have mentioned. It's far too low. To get a good fit, the top tapes need to be placed above the landing zone, meaning readjusting without tearing the front of the nappy is impossible.
I did send an email to inquire if this would be changed in the future but never received a reply.

If you wear plastic pants over this nappy; the condensation will cause all of the colour to run and stain the inside of the plastic pants. This isn't true for all other ABDL nappies, and I'm inclined to believe it's the result of a low quality printing process. I'm aware that only a small percentage of people use plastic pants; however I still feel like this is indicative of the general quality and people should be made aware of it.

It is a great shame because the nappy has some wonderfully redeeming features. for example; the print is easily one of my favourites out there, and it fits and feels great.

Hopefully these issues will be addressed in the future. But unless NRU actually acknowledge them and let people know they're resolved, I won't be buying again.

Great Nappy. Firm Favourite

I see there are mixed reviews on these nappies, personally for me I love the plastic. They swell alot, hold alot and I love the plastic and design. The lack of the usual thicker landing zone I think is quite nice, it does however make readjustments more difficult and I have experienced the same as some others where it tears if you try to unstick and adjust but for me I always see taped nappies as one and done. If I need something adjustable I lean towards hook and loop now as ive always had mixed results with taped adjustment. The design isnt 100% my favourite, the purple is lush though.

Im yet to have a leak with these and they have easily done 12-16hrs before a change.

My opinion would be try them, might not be for you but I wouldnt ignore them.

Awful

Landing strip was either the wrong shape and size or in the wrong place and covered in a load of scratches. Never buying again

Really cute diaper with some downsides

I really like the design of these diapers a lot like for me the design alone is a 10/10 but my biggest issue with them as a person who is a bit on the larger side is how low down the landingzone/tapezone is. It's way to low on these and it makes it very awkward to get the tapes on there neatly. I really hope that's something that could be fixed with these in the future as it's my only complaint really.

Great Nappies

I have to say, I really like the Sprogs. The print looks really cute and makes me feel tiny; the little piggy is the highlight, smile. They feel just like the Str8up – nice and thick – and get really thick when they get wet.

What I like less is that the landing zone sits a bit lower compared to the Str8up. I always fold the top part of the nappy over a bit so I can pull the plastic pants over the top. The nappy fits me perfectly in size M – I really like it.

Very cute put plastic is horrible and annoying

I ordered these before launce from the Tykables website and they are very cute and I would buy them again but i can’t see myself doing so because the plastic is really bad and thin. Whenever I need to readjust my tapes after some time has passed after taping it on, it will rip off the plastic and I would need to use duct tape.

The next time I would need to change i have to rip off the diaper because I do not have patience for the duct tape.

It baffles me too becaus The Little Rascals plastic is so much better than these.

You guys really need to upgrade the plastic.

Satisfying experience

I visited the showroom and i was a bit overwhelmed by what to buy lol. I purchased a few samples, not many nappies in a size small, thats not a problem though. I would have to say i was quite surprised by the sproggs. My initial reaction is that i dont really wear colourful nappies that mich and stick the nostalgic feeling of a crinkly shiny white plastic backing nappy.

My review:

-Plastic backing, almost similar to a rearz inspire but with printing all over.
-Has a shiny texture and buttery slick plastic.
-Swells perfectly between the crotch and makes you feel hugged.
-I like the cut as prefer it to fit tight and uncomfortable
-Absorbent, very!
-If you have a waist size 30-32 its perfect any larger you will need to upgrade to another size to prevent leakage.
-Low cut and holds in place. Dont really like the font as im not into the babyish side, just the comfort.

Thoughts: if the Str8ups were like these it would be a definite buy for me forever, dont like the high waistbands and prefer lower cuts like these.

I would like to see NRU make something like these with a one side tape design with an absorbent capacity like these.

Overall its a really satisfying experience, happy with these.

objective review

I'm going to start with what I like about the product.

1. bottom tapes sit higher on my hips so I have more manoeuvrability.

2. more narrow in the middle than some other pamps, this work's well for my body

3. the absorbency is fantastic (as long as you take time to get a good fit)

4. I love how the landing strip feels smooth and is almost the same texture as the pamp.

5. personally I find the design really nostalgic because it's similar in design well known baby nappy brand I used when younger.

Things that could be improved....

1. perhaps in next run of production ask the factory to put the landing strip all the way to the top while maintaining the overall texture of the strip itself.

2. maby include an outline of the "cut" of the pamp in comparison to others in the nru range

final thoughts: I'm giving this product 5 stars because it ultimately performed well for me, however if you have used other pamps in the nru range before take your time to get a good fit as it's a slightly different cut

Could be better

These diapers are rather cute, but they didn’t seem to hold as much as I expected. I only wore one for four hours before I had a leak, which is quite different from my usual eight hours. I was quite disappointed with how well this diaper performed.

Leaked and feel thin

Leaked the first night using them with plastic pants. Not impressed. I wish these nappy companies would stop having great products like the stra8up and then run out of stock to replace with something subpar.

Really find these hard to wear

These definitely fit on the tighter side compared to other brands, I find the landing zone to be far too low leaving lots of excess plastic at the waist bad thay just folds over uncomfortably. The tapes on the wings also seem to be far too far apart and when you do eventually manage to get both onto the landing zone your left with large amounts of excess plastic you have to try and tuck into something and then the wing starts to bunch because of how much its folded up to get tapes on. Id recommend getting a sample to try before committing to a full pack as I can see these being a very marmite product due to the cut and fit.
